Calibration

Thermo Scientific

410iQ Instruction Manual

Use the following procedure to set the CO

reading to zero.

Allow sufficient time for the instrument to warm up and stabilize.

Adjust the dilution system of

Figure 4–1

so that zero air alone is

present in the manifold.

Since not all flow controllers have a positive shut off, it might be
necessary to disconnect the CO

input line and cap it.

Allow the instrument to sample zero air until a stable reading is
obtained.

From the Home Screen, press Calibration>

Calibrate Background

The Target Concentration button will read 0.000. The Calculated
Background button will display the background needed to make the
current CO

concentration go to zero.

In the Calibrate Background screen, press

Calibrate

to set the CO

reading to zero and to save the new background.
