9 Connect the gateway harness to the
telematics module.
Genie part number 1289899GT.
Note: Harness connectors are keyed for proper
installation.
Component damage hazard.
Improper connections will result
in damage to the telematics
module and it is not covered
under warranty.

10 Open the ground control compartment.
11 Route the harness through the access hole in
the chassis and into the ground controls
compartment.
12 Connect the loose end of the gateway harness
to the 8 pin connector located near the back of
the ground controls.
13 Turn the key switch to ground control and pull
out the red Emergency Stop button to the on
position at both ground and platform controls.
Result: The LED is blinking on the retrofit
harness. The retrofit harness is working
properly.
Result: The LED is on solid. Check harness
connections or replace the retrofit harness.
14 Turn the key switch to the off position and
push in the red Emergency Stop button to the
off position at the ground controls.
15 Secure the harness to the existing cables
using the provided cable ties.

16 Raise the platform and rotate the safety arm to
the stowed position.
17 Locate the machine serial label.
18 Using a mild cleaning solvent, clean an area
on the ground controls side of the drive
chassis. Adhere one of the provided ESN
decals to the machine.
Note: The ESN decals are provided with the
telematics module.

19 Adhere the lexan cover decal over the ESN
decal.

20 Lower the machine to the stowed position.
