Store\ location. If not, click the New Vantage Store icon, fill out the form, and be sure to
select Type: Live in the form. Also, if a default Vantage Local Store (file type) does not
exist, you will need to create one using this same Vantage Management Console panel.
When to Specify a UNC Path for Live Stores
To ensure Live Stores are properly configured so that captured files can be
automatically deleted when jobs expire, you may need to specify the storage location
as a UNC path. This is especially true if you have multiple servers connected together in
an array. A UNC path is also important when you have multiple users accessing the
Tape Capture application from remote browsers.
A UNC path looks like this: \\hostname\d\live\store .
Follow these steps to configure Live Stores as UNC paths to allow automatic deletion of
deleted and expired capture files:
a. Create a local Live Store for each Lightspeed Live Capture server in the domain.
For example, for Capture servers LSL-01, LSL-02, and LSL-03, create these stores:
b. Share the Live Stores in Windows as UNC paths on all servers.
c. In the Live Store Alias field, add the UNC path for each source. For example:
