Lightspeed Live Capture User Guide
To switch from HD into UHD/4K input mode:
1.
Deactivate all Capture workflows actively running on any of the server inputs.
2.
From a valid UHD source connect the four (4) UHD input cables to the appropriate
SDI input BNC connectors.
3.
Start your UHD source so that it is actively providing a signal to the Lightspeed Live
server.
4.
Open the Source Manager page (see
Managing and Configuring Sources
), select SDI
Input 1, and open the Configure Source panel.
5.
Disable the Assign Processor option. (This option should be disabled for UHD.)
6.
From the Video Mode option select 4K/UHD Video Input, then click the Save button
to enable your changes.
7.
The four inputs are now consolidated into one input and renamed to include "4K/
UHD" in the name.
8.
In the Vantage Workflow Designer, for any workflow that you want to use the 4K
source, open the Capture action and select the new 4K/UHD input as the Source.
9.
Make any other desired changes in the Capture action and Save it.
10.
Click Activate below the workflow to initiate workflow operation
To switch from UHD into HD input mode:
1.
The 4K/UHD source must be actively providing a signal to the server.
2.
Deactivate all Capture action workflows that are using the UHD input source.
3.
Open the Source Manager page (see
Managing and Configuring Sources
), select the
4K/UHD input, and open the Configure Source panel.
4.
From the Video Mode option select SD/HD Video Input, then click the Save button
to enable your changes.
5.
The UHD input is now converted back to four individual SDI inputs.
6.
Turn off your UHD signal source and disconnect the cables from the UHD device.
7.
Connect HD source cables to one or more of the SDI input BNC connectors.
8.
On the Source Manager page, select each source to configure the options uniquely
for each input. See
above.
9.
In the Vantage Workflow Designer, configure each Capture action to use any one of
the SDI inputs that you want for that workflow, and make any other desired
adjustments and save your changes. See Creating and Activating the Capture
Action Workflow in the next chapter.
10.
Click Activate for each workflow that you want to place into operation.
