Lightspeed Live Capture User Guide
back in time and access media processed in the past based on the value of the Time-
Shift field. Since Live Capture’s Time-Shift is always processing an input source’s media,
when a record is initiated any media stored in the Time-Shift buffer is available to be
added to the captured file.
•
TimeCode Source
—Click the drop-down menu to choose one of the following
timecode source signals for the selected SDI input:
–
Source
—Uses the timecode provided in VBI or VANC (SMPTE 12M-2/RP188) of
the selected Lightspeed Live Capture's video input signal. If a valid timecode is
not available or goes away, see the Free Run TimeCode option below.
–
Computer Clock
—Uses the time-of-day clock provided by the Lightspeed Live
Capture Server.
–
Free Run
—This timecode starts at 00:00:00:00 and free-runs after the Capture
workflow associated with it is activated. The recorded timecode captured will
reflect the free run timecode at the time capture begins.
–
Analog LTC
—Uses the timecode provided on the SDI card's LTC input (marked
with an R on the SDI card). If a valid timecode is not available or goes away, see
the Free Run TimeCode option below.
–
RS-422
—Uses the timecode provided by a VTR connected via RS-422. (Requires
the optional RS-422 control kit.) If an input is connected to a VTR under RS-422
control, RS-422 must be selected for TimeCode Source.
Note:
When using the Schedule Trigger you should set your TimeCode Source to
either Computer Clock or Source. When using Source, you must have time-of-day
timecode in your source that matches the time set in your Lightspeed Live server. See
.
•
Free Run TimeCode
—When enabled, and the desired timecode is not detected or
goes away, the timecode will seamlessly free-run from the last good timecode
received. When Free Run TimeCode is not enabled, and the desired timecode is not
detected or goes away, then the timecode will revert to zero (00:00:00:00) and stay
at zero.
•
Raw Ancillary Dump
—Only available when Advanced mode is enabled.
WARNING:
Do not enable this option unless directed to by Telestream Support.
•
Use Inverse Telecine (Live Stream only)
—When enabled, sets the source to be
de-interlaced using Inverse Telecine settings.
Note:
The Inverse Telecine setting only applies to Live Stream. This feature is not yet
enabled in Live Capture and has no affect on Capture operations.
•
Line Offset
—Shift the video by the specified line offset. The default is 0, the mini-
mum is -4, and the maximum is +4. The range is -4 to 4 lines. Available only in
Advanced Mode (System Settings).
