reassigned or renamed by the user.
The
SD Card
memory is activated automatically after insertion of the card. The manual activation of the
USB Disk
is needed.
The instrument current settings are stored in the instrument internal RAM. This file can be downloaded to the
PC as
Settings.svt
with the use of + software. It can be edited with the special
Setup file editor
tool
of + and uploaded to the instrument’s internal RAM (see
+ User Manual
).
The type of the selected memory
shows the icon at the top left-hand corner of the display.
“SD card”
icon is displayed when external SD card memory is assigned for file saving. Micro SD
card is connected.
“USB disk”
icon is displayed when the USB disc is assigned for file saving. USB disc is connected
and activated.
If the SD card and USB
disc are removed from the memory slot the “memory warning” icon appears
instead of “SD card” or “USB disc” icon.
USB Disc activation
USB disc activation is performed in the
Communication Ports
window of the
Instrument
section (
path: <Menu> / Instrument / Communication Ports
).
Activation of the USB disk can also be done
in the
File Manager
window. The user
should select the
USB Disk
position and
press the
<ENTER>
push-button. Then in
the
Command
list
select
the
Activate
USB Host
position and press the
<ENTER>
push-button again.

The
SD Card
and
USB Disk
memories are organised as a standard memory with directories and sub-
directories (FAT32 file system). It is possible to create and delete the directories from the instrument level.
The content of the instrument’s memory can be controlled with the help of the
File Manager
or
Setup Manager
function of the
File
section.
In the
File Manager
or
Setup Manager
screens, data files are described by their file
name with an extension (
SVL
,
SVT
or
WAV
)
as well as additional icon and size (
2KB
etc.).

The file manager is used to check the
memory content and to operate on files and
directories such as: opening, deleting,
copying, moving, renaming, creating new
files
and
directories,
and
displaying
information about files and directories (see
