3. Remove the old battery and insert a new AA alkaline battery (minus (-) end first), then close the cover.
4. Set the power switch of the mouse to
ON
.

Use a new AA alkaline replacement battery.
If you do not intend to use the mouse for a while, set the power switch of the mouse to
OFF
. If you do not
intend to use the mouse for an extended period of time, remove its AA battery.
When the battery power becomes low, replace with the battery promptly. Keeping a depleted battery in the
mouse may cause battery leakage.
Since the mouse cannot be used with a commercially available rechargeable battery, use a non-
rechargeable AA battery. If you use a rechargeable battery, battery leakage may occur, resulting in a
malfunction.
Do not recharge a dry cell AA battery.

Controlling the Power State of Your VAIO Computer (Sleep Mode/Shutdown)
By default, your VAIO computer automatically enters Sleep mode after a certain period of inactivity.
In Sleep mode, the computer will retain its current state, including data you are working on, while you take a
