Dome Foil Installation

A new dome foil must be used if the old dome foil has been removed.

Tools needed to perform the following steps:

•

Style 2A ESD tweezers

Step-by-Step Instructions

Remove the protective backing from the dome foil.

NOTE! Use a pair of style 2A tweezers to assist with

handling and the positioning of the dome
foil to its alignment features on the circuit
board.

Align the dome foil to the circuit board using the two
alignment holes in the circuit board.

NOTE!

When the dome foil is correctly installed,
you should be able to see completely
through both alignment holes. Also,
components should be visible in all of the
rectangular holes in the foil.

Carefully smooth the dome foil into place.

NOTE!

Make sure that no air bubbles are trapped
under the foil.
