3.2
Flip Reassembly
The reassembly of the flip portion of this product is broken into sections by the components that
need to be installed to perform the reassembly of the flip portion. The sections that make up the
“Flip Reassembly” procedure are arranged in the order that they must be performed to properly
reassemble the flip portion. If you have only performed a partial disassembly of the flip, just
perform the appropriate reassembly sections.
3.2.1
LCD Sub-Frame Installation
If this part is being replaced, a new part should be used in the place of the old part when
reassembling. If a new part is being used, a new receiver must be installed in the new LCD sub-
frame before proceeding. Refer to the receiver’s installation section for instructions on how to
install a new receiver.

NOTE! A “ * ” beside a tool listed above indicates that the tool is not specifically called out in the
following instructions, but an operator may find it helpful to use that tool when performing some
steps of the following procedure.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1.
Verify that the hinge arm is lifted away from the
inner flip cover, that the portion of the flex film
under the hinge is held in place by its alignment pin,
and that the camera module and LCD assembly are
correctly seated against the inner flip cover.
NOTE! There are features on the inside surface of
the inner flip cover that correctly position
the LCD assembly.
2.
Verify that a piece of display tape is mounted over
the portion of the display’s edge that the camera
module’s flex film goes over.
NOTE! If a piece of display tape is not present, refer
to the LCD installation instructions for
instructions on how to correctly install the
display tape.
3.
Verify that the receiver is correctly installed in the
LCD sub-frame.
