System Connector Installation
If this part is being replaced, a new part should be used in the place of the old part when
performing the following steps. Whenever the system connector is being replaced, a new liquid
intrusion indicator must be installed on the new system connector. Refer to the installation portion
of the “Liquid Intrusion Indicator” section for instructions on how to install a new liquid intrusion
indicator.

Step-by-Step Instructions
NOTE! Verify that a liquid intrusion indicator is
present on the system connector before
proceeding. If a liquid intrusion indicator is
not present, refer to the “Liquid Intrusion
Indicator” section for instructions on how to
install a new liquid intrusion indicator.
1.
Orient the circuit board so the contact pads for the
system connector are towards you.
2.
Orient the system connector relative to the circuit
board so that side of the system connector with the
row of small holes is towards you and the side of the
system connector with the row of contact pads that is
end user accessible is pointed away from the circuit
board.
3.
Align the row of small holes in the system connector
with the row of contact pads on the circuit board and
push the connector onto the circuit board until it is
completely seated.

Perform all sections of the Base Reassembly Procedure.
