RF Port Plug
4.8.1
RF Port Plug Removal
If the outer base cover is removed from the phone
, the easiest way to remove the RF port plug is
by pressing the plug out of its hole from the inner surface of the outer base cover. To remove the
RF port plug in this way, remove the antenna assembly from the outer base cover first, if it is
present.
If the outer base cover is not removed from the phone
, perform the following procedure to
remove the RF port plug.

Perform section 2.1.1 of the Base Disassembly
Tools needed to perform the following steps:

Dental hook
Step-by-Step Instructions
1.
Orient the phone so that the battery area is toward
you.
NOTE! Be careful not to scratch or damage the outer
base cover when removing the RF port plug.
2.
Insert the tip of a dental hook into the small hole in
the RF port plug and pry the plug from its opening in
the outer base cover.
