Add an offset value to the metric value of the routes learnt by RIP. The “

” command disables this function
Parameter: < access-list-number |access-list-name>
is the access-list or name to be
applied.
<number >
is the added offset value, ranging between 0-16;
<ifname>
is the
specific interface name
Default:
Default offset value is the metric value defined by the system

Command: passive-interface <ifname>

Function:
Set the RIP layer 3 switch blocks RIP broadcast on specified interface, on
which the RIP data packets will only be sent to layer 3 switches configured with neighbor.
Parameter: <ifname>
is the name of specific interface.
Default:
Not configured
