4.2 Rail mounting

Supplementary modules

WARNING

Risk of electric shock
Before starting installation work of any kind, the main switch of the system must be opened

and measures taken to prevent it from being reclosed. If this instruction is not observed,

touching live parts can result in death or serious injury.

The supplementary modules can be mounted in a control cabinet on standard mounting rails

(see Chapter Mechanical system (Page 237)). The electrical connection to the adjacent

basic unit or module is established using the connecting plug, integrated at the upper side of

the module housing.
1.

Position the supplementary module with the mounting rail guide at the upper edge of the

standard mounting rail as close as possible to the basic device, and press down

to lock it into place.

If it is difficult to snap it into place, simultaneously press the slider as described for

mounting the basic device.

Move the supplementary module so that it is in physical contact with the basic unit.

Remove the plastic cover of the connection socket at the basic unit.

Connect the supplementary module to the basic unit using the connecting plug:

Insert the connecting plug into the socket provided at the basic unit.

Ensure that latch

snaps into place.

All additional supplementary modules can be connected in the same way to the

supplementary module to the left using the connecting plugs.
