Description of the heating engineer settings
18.10.2002
The selected function is activated by feeding an AC 230 V signal to terminal E1.Entry:
1
Hours run and start counter
The input is used for acquiring the number of operating hours (e.g. the number of
burner hours run) and the number of starts of a heat source. The relevant values
are shown on operating lines 877 and 878.
2
Heat generation lock oil / gas
The oil- / gas-fired boiler will be locked by applying an AC 230 V signal.
3
Error / alarm message
When applying an AC 230 V signal, error message 172 will appear on operating
line 50. If the “Alarm output” is appropriately configured (auxiliary function, oper-
ating line 151), the error will be passed on or displayed by closing an additional
contact (e.g. an external lamp or horn).
4
Reserved
With the present line of controllers, this setting has no function.
5
Heat generation lock heat pump
The heat pump will be locked by applying an AC 230 V signal.
6
Operational signal for heat pump, hours run and start counter
The heat pump can communicate the start of operation to the controller by deliv-
ering an AC 230 V signal. Based on this signal, the controller acquires the num-
ber of heat pump starts and the number of operating hours.
The relevant values will appear on operating lines 877 and 878.
If setting 6 is selected and the controller receives no feedback from the heat
pump (within the period of time set on operating line 412
EXP
), the controller will
cause the heat pump to go to lockout (error message 137 on operating line 50).
7
Release of return temperature control of wood-fired boiler
Return temperature control of the wood-fired boiler is released when the pump of
the wood-fired boiler runs (respective relay terminal is checked). If a wood-fired
boiler has its own ready built-in pump, its operating state can be signaled to the
controller by applying an AC 230 V signal. For that, input E1 must be wired par-
allel to the pump.
This means that return temperature control of the wood-fired boiler will no longer
be released based on the pump relay terminal but based on the voltage present
at input E1 (AC 230 V = released, 0 V = locked).
8
Forced charging of buffer storage tank with the heat pump
Forced charging of the buffer storage tank with the heat pump is triggered by
applying an AC 230 V signal to input E1. For that purpose, parameter “Forced
charging of buffer storage tank with heat pump” (operating line 475) must be se-
lected (not 0).
