4.94 Pulse value flow meter
•
Adaption to the different brands and types of pulse meters
The pulse valency indicated by the flow meter must be set on this operating line.
The setting made on this operating line defines the number of liters of flow that, with the
selected type of flow meter, produce one pulse.

The flow meter acquires the volumetric flow and delivers one pulse per unit (number of
liters). The controller uses the measured volumetric flow (number of pulses per unit of
time) for calculating the yield.
The pulse must be acquired via input H1. For that purpose, setting 14 must be selected
on operating line 870.
When using a solar pump without speed control and the pressure drop across the solar
circuit has been accurately calculated or measured, an approximate solar yield meas-
urement can also be accomplished without using a flow meter (refer to operating line
341).
4.95 Volumetric flow solar pump
•
Approximative yield measurement without using a flow sensor
Based on a given plant characteristic, the volumetric flow of the solar pump is constant.
If the effective volumetric flow through the plant is accurately calculated or measured,
this value can be used for measuring the solar yield.

This method does
not
work with speed-controlled solar pumps!
This method delivers acceptable
accuracy
only if the effective volumetric flow in the
solar circuit is accurately calculated or measured.
