5.39 Compensation of running time-related
surplus heat / heat deficit
•
Too high and too low temperatures will be prevented
The minimum compressor off time (operating line 414
EXP
) and minimum compressor on
time (operating line 413
EXP
) can considerably delay the switch-on / off time (on and off
according to the switching differential, operating lines 421 and 422).
Surplus heat and heat deficits that occur during the delay times partly offset one an-
other and will be taken into consideration. The heat pump will switch on / off later, in
accordance with the switching differential.

The function can be subdivided as follows:
Switching off of heat pump
Normally, the heat pump will be switched off when the temperature at the selected
control sensor (operating line 420) exceeds the current setpoint (operating line 400 /
402) by the switching differential OFF (operating line 422).
If, at this moment in time, the minimum compressor on time (operating line 413
EXP
) has
not yet elapsed, the compressor will be switched off only on completion of that period of
time. The heat pump circulator continues to run as long as the heat pump is released.
Any surplus heat that accumulates during the minimum compressor on time will be
acquired by an integral.
Switching on of the heat pump
Normally, the heat pump will be switched on when the temperature at the selected
control sensor (operating line 420) drops below the current setpoint (operating line 400
/ 402) by the switching differential ON (operating line 421).
If, at this moment in time, the minimum compressor off time (operating line 414
EXP
) has
not yet elapsed, the compressor will be switched on only on completion of that period of
time.
Any heat deficit that accumulates during the minimum compressor off time will be ac-
quired by an integral.
Compensation of surplus heat and heat deficit
The above mentioned integrals of surplus heat and heat deficit are continuously com-
pared with one another. The heat pump will be switched off only when a heat deficit, if
any, has been compensated for, and on when surplus heat, if any, has been con-
sumed.
