[FAX] key / indicator
This key is used to select fax mode.

[PROGRAM 1 / PROGRAM 2] key
Press to use the program settings of the default scanner.

[SCAN] key / indicator
Press to select scan mode.

[ZOOM] key
Press to select a reduction or enlargement copy ratio.

[COPY] key / indicator
Press to select copy mode. The toner remaining amount is displayed by holding this key.

[ID CARD COPY] key
Enable ID Card Copy.

Arrow keys
Press to move the highlighting (which indicates that an item is selected) in the display.

[OK] key
Press to enter the selected setting.

[EXPOSURE] key
Use to select the exposure mode.

[ENERGY SAVE] key / indicator
Press to enter the energy save mode.

[BACK] key
Press to return the display to the previous screen.

[SPECIAL FUNCTION] key
Press to select special functions.

[C] key
Press to clear the set number of copies or stop a copy run.

[DUPLEX] key
Select the duplex copying and the duplex scanning mode.

[ADDRESS] key
Used to search for address, numbers and other contact information stored for auto dialling.

[COMM. SETTING] key
This is used to switch between memory transmission and direct transmission, and to switch between automatic
reception and manual reception. It is also used to enter a space or "-" when entering characters.

[SPEED] key
This is used to dial by Speed dialling and to enter a symbol when entering characters.

[FAX STATUS] key
This is used to cancel a fax transmission or a stored fax transmission.

[SPEAKER] key
This is used to dial without lifting an extension phone connected to the machine and to shift between upper and
lower case when entering characters.

[REDIAL/PAUSE] key
This is used to redial the last number dialled, and enter a pause when entering a fax number.

[COLOUR START] key / indicator
Press this key to copy or scan an original in colour. This key cannot be used for fax or Internet fax.

[BLACK & WHITE START] key /
indicator
Press this key to copy or scan an original in black and white. This key is also used to send a fax in fax mode.

[LOGOUT] key
Press this key to log out after you have logged in and used the machine. When using the fax function, this key
can also be pressed to send tone signals on a pulse dial line.

Numeric keys
Enter characters/numbers.

[READ-END] key
When copying in sort mode from the document glass, press this key when you have finished scanning the original
pages and are ready to start copying.

[CA] key
Clears all selected settings and returns the machine to the default settings.

[STOP] key
Press this key to stop a copy job or scanning of an original.

FAX mode indicators
LINE indicator
Lights up when a fax is being sent or received.
DATA indicator
Blinks when a fax cannot be printed because there is no paper. Lights steadily when there is an unsent fax.

Printer mode indicators
ONLINE indicator
Print data cannot be received when this lamp is lit.
DATA indicator
Blinks when print data is being received. Lights steadily during printing.
