SEL-387-0, -5, -6 Relay

Instruction Manual

Control Logic

Multiple Setting Groups

If settings are changed for a setting group other than the active setting group, 
there is no interruption of the remote bits (the relay is not momentarily 
disabled).

Multiple Setting Groups

The relay has six (6) independent setting groups. Each group contains the 
following:

These settings can be viewed or changed via the 

SHO 

n

 and 

SET 

n

 

commands. The settings for selecting which of the six groups is to be active is 
contained in the Global Settings area (

SHO G

/

SET G

 commands).

Active Setting Group 
Indication

Only one setting group can be active at a time. Relay Word bits SG1 through 
SG6 indicate the active setting group.

For example, if Setting Group 4 is the active setting group, Relay Word bit 
SG4 asserts to logical 1 and the other Relay Word bits SG1, SG2, SG3, SG5, 
and SG6 are all deasserted to logical 0.
