MAINTENANCE
Encoder

Replacement

1 Disconnect power to the door
2 Unscrew thumbscrews to remove the motor/gearbox

cover

3 Disconnect wiring connector (F)
4 Loosen 2 set screws (A) to remove encoder

sprocket (B) and chain (C)

5 Remove 2 screws (H) and 4 screws (D) to remove the

encoder assembly (E)

6  Install the new encoder using 4 screws (D)
7  Install the sprocket (B)
8  Install the chain (C), and tighten by sliding the

encoder assembly and tightening the mounting

screws (G) and (D)

9 Connect the wiring connector (F)
10 Refer to i-COMM 3 manual, for i-COMM 3 Encoder

Set-Up

11 Install the drive motor/gearbox cover and secure with

thumbscrews
