1 Engage the brake release handle See "Brake
Release" on page 63
2 Feed the curtain edging extensions (H) into the upper
feed-in openings, both sides
3 Rotate the primary tube by hand to start the first few
spheres of the edge extensions Spheres must be
timed the same as they are fed in
4 Release brake release handle to lock primary tube
rotation
5 Remove the straps from the curtain roller
6 Once the curtain has been fed into the drive system,
remove the front re-feed brackets Manually run the
curtain down and pull the edge extensions through
the void and out to remove them, both sides
7 Fill the 3 holes on both sides with the 2 piece rivets
and washers Reinsert into lower track and reinstall
front re-feed brackets (J)
8 With the door in the OPEN position, lift counterweight
assembly (A) ≈ 3‑4ft [1.8m] (B) off the ground.
Securely support the counterweight assembly
DO NOT trim excess strap material until the
counterweight adjustment has been verified
9 Route the belt (C) around the pin at the top of
the counterweight assembly Install clamps (D)
≈ 2in‑3in [50mm‑76mm] above the pin and secure
the clamps using (2) 5/16in-18 x 1in [M8 x 25mm]
bolts (E), (2) 5/16in [M8] lock washers (F), and
(2) 5/16in-18 [M8] hex nuts (G)
10 Manually close the door by releasing the brake using
a drill (not an impact drill) Use a [M13] socket on the
manual input bolt on the bottom of the brake shaft
When the door is closed, the counterweight must not
make contact with the header components
11 Run the door through 2 open/close cycles
Counterweight should move up and down with the
door and not make contact with the floor or header
components Adjust as needed
