Wenn Sie mit einem Fahrzeug, das mit asym-
metrischem Abblendlicht für Rechtsverkehr
ausgerüstet ist, in ein Land reisen, in dem auf
der linken Fahrbahnseite gefahren werden
muß, so sind beim Grenzübergang die Pris-
mensektoren auf den Streuscheiben durch ein
lichtundurchlässiges Klebeband abzudecken.
Damit wird das Abblendlicht symmetrisch und
blendet entgegenkommende Verkehrsteilneh-
mer nicht.
Manuelle Betätigung
der Klappscheinwerfer
Lassen sich die Klappscheinwerfer infolge ei-
ner Funktionsstörung des Motors weder aus
noch einfahren, können sie durch Drehen des
Knopfes am Antriebsmotor manuell betätigt
werden. Hierzu die Gummikappe vom An-
triebsmotor abnehmen. Durch Drehen des
Knopfes nach links werden die Scheinwerfer
ausgefahren, durch Drehen nach rechts ein-
gefahren.
Drehen Sie nicht an dem Knopf des An-
triebsmotors, wenn keine Funktionsstö-
rung vorliegt und sich die Klappscheinwer-
fer durch Drehen des Lichtschalters öffnen
und schließen lassen. Verletzungsgefahr!
Aufgrund des Schaltungsprinzips läuft der Mo-
tor immer so lange weiter, bis der Kurbeltrieb
eine halbe Umdrehung (180°) ausgeführt hat,
d. h. nach einigen Umdrehungen des Knopfes
wird ein Kontakt geschlossen, so daß sich die
Klappscheinwerfer öffnen und sofort wieder
schließen, wenn keine Funktionsstörung vor-

dipped beam headlights, and you travel
abroad, where the traffic drives on the other
side of the road, you should stop at the bor-
der, and blank off the prism section of the
light diffusing lens with opaque adhesive strip.
The dipped beams will then be symmet-metri-
cal, and will not dazzle oncoming drivers.
Manual operation of the
headlights
If, by reason of a malfunction in the headlight
elevating motor, the headlights cannot be
raised or lowered, the knob on the driveshaft
of the elevating motor can be manually
turned, to raise or lower the headlights. To do
this, remove the rubber cap from the drive
motor. Turn the knob anticlockwise to raise
and clockwise to lower the headlights.
If the motor functions as it should when
the light switch is turned, do not attempt
to turn the knob on the motor itself. Risk
of injury.
By virtue of the switching principle, the eleva-
ting motor drives the elevating mechanism an-
other half a turn (180°). That is to say that
after several turns of the knob a contact is
closed so that when the headlights are func-
tioning normally, they go up and come down
immediately.
