Lenk-Zündanlaßschloß
Für den Zündschlüssel gibt es 4 Stellungen:
0-Lenkung blockiert. Alle mit der Zündung
gekoppelten Verbraucher sind ausgeschal-
tet. Der Zündschlüssel kann nur in dieser
Stellung abgezogen werden. Wenn der
Zündschlüssel in die O-Stellung zurückge-
dreht wird, kann das Lenkschloß erst ein-
rasten, wenn der Schlüssel abgezogen ist.
In dieser Stellung kann mit dem Blinkerhe-
bel das Parklicht eingeschaltet werden.
1 -Lenkradschloß geöffnet - alle elektri-
schen Verbraucher, außer Blink- und
Rückfahrleuchten, Außenspiegelverstel-
lung, und Heckscheibenheizung sind be-
triebsbereit.
2-Zündung eingeschaltet. Alle Stromver-
braucher können eingeschaltet werden. Bei
stehendem Motor leuchten zur Lampen-
kontrolle die Warnleuchten
3-Durch Rechtsdrehen des Schlüssels
wird der Starter betätigt. Wenn der Motor
läuft, den Zündschlüssel sofort loslassen,
er springt von selbst wieder in die Stellung
„Zündung ein" zurück. Bei laufendem
Motor müssen die Warnleuchten erlö-
schen; die Warnleuchte für das Bremslicht
nach der ersten Bremsbetätigung. Für die
Zeit des Startvorganges sind die Strom-
kreise der Hauptverbraucher, wie z.B.
Fern-, Abblendlicht, Heckscheibenheizung
und Wischer-Wascher, unterbrochen.

Steering lock and ignition switch
The ignition key has 4 positions:
O-The steering is locked. All circuits con-
nected to the ignition switch are off. This
is the only position in which the ignition
key can be withdrawn, and the steering
lock only operates after the key is with-
drawn. The parking lights can be oper-
ated with the switch in this position by
moving the direction indicator stalk.
1 - Steering unlocked. All electrical circuits
are operational except direction indicator
and reversing lights, door mirror adjust-
ment, and rear screen heating.
2 - Ignition is switched on. All circuits can
now be operated. With the engine off, the
warning lights come on as a check.
3 - By turning the key to the right, the
starter motor is operated. As soon as
the engine fires, release the key. It will
spring back to position 2. With the engine
running, the warning lights should go out
except the warning light for the stop
lamp, which will go out after the first ap-
plication of the brakes. During the oper-
ation of the starter motor, the items with
heavy electrical consumption, e. g. head-
lights, rear screen heating, wipers/wa-
shers, will be interrupted.
