15.5 Evaluating the model
15.5.1 Checking the model for missing data
1. Click Data density view.
Your model should resemble this.
The adjacent teeth are important in designing the
restoration. Ensure there is enough detail, approximately
90%, to align the restoration with its neighbours.
2. If not already activated click Data density view.
The model refreshes with the dark blue and purple areas
indicating the least data.
3. Rotate the model to analyse it.
4. Rescan the dark areas on your restoration site and
interproximal contact areas.
Check if the key areas are missing data:
• Look for coloured areas on the prepared tooth, especially
on the margin.
