User’s manual

28 MILLING UNIT

28.1 Turning on / off the milling unit

To turn on the milling unit press the small round button on

the front of the milling unit.

NOTE

The power button on the back of the mill shuts off electrical

power to the mill. This is generally left on. The red button

on the front of the mill will stop / abort the milling process.

The milling unit display also operates as a touch screen
To turn off the milling unit touch Maintenance to see the

Mill Options screen.

1. Touch Turn off the mill.
2. Touch Select.

A confirmation screen appears.

3. Touch Yes to turn off the mill. Touch No to leave it ON.

The desktop for the operating system appears.

4. Touch Start.
5. Select Shut Down.

28.2 Display

When the milling unit application loads, the following

screen appears.

6. Close the lid and remove the interlock key if needed.

NOTE

The interlock key is used by service technicians for

diagnostic purposes and is located on the right side of the

mill.

7. Touch YES and wait for the mill to finish initializing.

When the mill is ready the lid lights turn green.
