HTTP CLIENT:
Use the steps below to set up any of the following services. A
service that is set to ENABLE can be started up and used.

• Recording and playback and other operations are not available in
LAN mode.

Open the thumbnail screen.

Press the MENU button.

Use the cursor buttons to choose [NETWORK] -
[SETUP] - [SERVER] and press the SET button.

The server screen appears.
Current settings appear. Use the cursor buttons to select
an item and press the SET button to set it.

Setting server service
FTP server
service:
In LAN mode, this service accepts access
from an FTP client and transfers files.
However, it cannot write files to P2 cards.
Samba server
service:
In LAN mode, this service allows you to
load P2 cards and hard disks externally as
network drives. (But it cannot write data to
P2 cards.)
HTTP server
service:
In LAN mode, this service allows you to
view P2 card thumbnails and metadata,
and play back proxy data (only when the
client device supports playback) using an
external browser.
BACKGROUND
FTP Server
Service:
In recording/playback mode, this service
accepts access from an FTP client and
transfers files. It can also write to P2 cards.

FTP TIMEOUT
Time-out time
(Unit: min)
Set the time that should elapse before an FTP connection is
canceled when no command is received and the time that should
elapse before a file transfer set to pending is terminated.
The following values can be set: 0 (no time-out), 2 min, 5 min, 10
min and 20 min.
