Exponential test principle.
The exponential mode provides a more realistic simulation of a short-circuit current when provided with the time
constant of the system.
If the time constant is unknown, a theoretical calculation can be made based on the line characteristics. Press
‘Parameters’ to open the time constant calculator. The following dialog is displayed:
In this dialog, the line characteristics can be provided.
To calculate the time constant, press ‘Calculate’. Press ‘Apply’ to use the calculated time constant.
