D–6 LUBRICATION SYSTEM
Spin-on Type
1. Remove the under cover.
2. Remove the oil filter using a commercially
available, cap-type oil filter wrench (diameter- 76
mm {3.0 in}, 15 sided ).
3. Use a clean rag to wipe off the mounting surface.
4. Apply clean engine oil to the gasket of a new oil
filter.
5. Tighten the oil filter with specified tightening
torque.
Tightening torque
15—20 N·m {1.6—2.0 kgf·m, 11—24 ft·lbf}
6. Remove the dipstick and verify that the oil level is
MIN and MAX marks on the dipstick.
•
If the oil level is below the MIN mark, add oil.
7. Start the engine and inspect for oil leakage.
8. Inspect the oil level.
•
If necessary, add oil. (See D–4 ENGINE OIL
INSPECTION .)
9. Install the under cover.
