Reel Drive

The reel is hydraulically driven through a chain case that is attached between the reels on a double-reel header.

5.14.1

Replacing Reel Drive Cover

Removing Reel Drive Cover

DANGER

To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected start-up of machine, always stop engine and remove key
from ignition before leaving operator’s seat for any reason.

1. Stop the engine and remove the key from the ignition.

2. Remove six bolts (A) securing the upper cover (B) to

the reel drive and lower cover (C).

3. Remove three bolts (A) and remove the lower cover

(B), if necessary.
