Threading the upper twine

BiG Pack 870 HDP XC

Original Operating Instructions 150000760_00_en

Guiding the upper twine from the upper twine guide to the upper needles

Release the twine brake (9).

Guide the 3 upper twines (1, 2, 3) coming from the upper twine guide (7) through the rear
eyes (8) and attach them on the brake rolls.

Rotate brake rolls manually. In this process, the upper twine is guided through the brake
rolls.

BP000-114

Guide the upper twine from the twine brake (9) through the eye (10) of the tensioning arm
(11).

Pull the upper twine towards the bottom and guide it between the rolls (12) of the upper
needle (13).

Guide the other upper twines such as the first upper twine from the twine brake further to the
upper needle.

The next and final step for threading the upper twine depends on whether the bale channel
is empty or filled.

Right-hand machine side

Then guide the upper twine from the twine box further to the upper twine guide.

Make sure that the upper twines never cross over each other.

Guide the two upper twines (4, 5) coming from the twine box (6) further to the twine guide
(7).

Guide the two lower twines (4, 5) through the eyes of the upper twine guide (7) and guide
them further to the twine brakes at the knotters.
