Twine motion indication for upper twine
1
BP000-069
The upper twine motion is monitored by twine motion indicators (1) (reflectors) which are
positioned above the machine. While the bale is being formed, the twine motion indicators (1)
should move back and forth in a pulsing cycle. In normal operation, the twine motion indicators
(1) lift and lower at the same time. A malfunction has occured when a defective twine motion
indicator (1) of the twine path does not have the same position as the other twine motion
indicators (1).
Possible malfunctions when twine motion indicator (1) remains on top:
•
Twine has wrapped around the billhook.
•
The knotter needle has missed the upper twine strand (twine is not cut).
•
The knotter is stuck on the billhook (after tying is completed a twine indicator (1) remains
longer at the bottom than the other ones).
Possible malfunctions when twine motion indicator (1) remains on top:
•
The twine tension is too low.
•
The upper twine strand is torn.
•
The billhook has not tied a knot.
