Before the start of the new harvest season, inspect the machine thoroughly.
Keeping the machine in a perfect technical condition will significantly reduce costly running
problems during harvest time.
If this was not already done after the last harvest, the machine must be thoroughly cleaned
inside and outside.
Before placing the machine into service again, initiate the knotting process manually and run
through the large square baler manually. In doing so, check the functionality of the knotters
and the needles.
Clean the knotter from preservatives (vegetable oils).
Remove the grease from the drive disc and clean it.
Oil the chains.
Check the functionality of the knotter shaft brake (on the right of the knotter shaft).
Lubricate the machine completely according to the lubrication chart. Thus, any condensation
water which may have collected in the bearings is removed. Wipe away grease that has
come out of lubrication points.
Check the oil level in the gearbox(es) and top up, if necessary.
Check the hydraulic hoses and lines for leaks and replace them, if necessary.
Check tyre pressure and refill air, if necessary.
Check all screws for firm attachment and tighten them, if necessary.
Check all electrical connection cables and the lighting. Repair or replace them, if necessary.
Check the entire setting of the machine and correct it, if necessary.
