Setting the blade lever
BPG000-041
The blade lever (1) must be aligned so that the billhook (3) can turn freely without touching the
blade lever.
However, the scraper comb (2) of the blade lever must slightly and evenly touch the back of the
knotter hook (3). In the blade lever dead-centre position, the distance between the scraper
comb of the blade lever and the billhook tip should be
X=15–18 mm
. The blade lever has
reached the dead-centre position when the blade lever roll has reached the highest point on the
cam (4) in the knotter disc (5).
The areas of the blade lever that guide the twine (the marked area (I)) must be smoothed and
rounded to prevent the twine from tearing. The blade lever must be replaced when it is worn at
the marked area (formation of grooves).

If the dimension is
X=15–18 mm
, the setting is correct.
