Next, we will explore how you can utilize Segmented Memory to capture large
amounts of waveforms with high fidelity. It works by capturing and saving the data
you want, and skipping everything between. What you get is high resolution
waveforms in high quantity (up to 1000). Note that you can also use search and
navigate features, as well as the lister, for segmented acquisitions.

At this point, you should still be zoomed into a word with a sync error. Press the
[Acquire]
front panel key, and go into the
Segmented
menu.

Tap
# of Segs
, and when the keypad appears, tap
Max
. This will set it to a value of
1000.

Press
[Run/Stop]
to restart acquisitions.

Tap the
Segmented
softkey to begin acquisition and analysis of 1000 words. This
can take around a minute due to the large amount of analysis; the result being
nearly 700 milliseconds of acquisition.

When complete, tap
Current Seg
, open the keypad, and tap
Max
. Note the
timestamp of the final segment; it should be roughly 1.8 s. see
