There is a risk of trapping when you close the battery cover and fit the side panels,
battery retainers, battery locks and battery.

Make sure there is nothing between the parts mentioned above and the truck
when you fit the battery, retainers and side panels.

Battery installation

Requirements

– Park the truck on a level surface.
– Expose the battery, see page 78.

Tools and Material Required

– Battery roller stand

Procedure

• Position the battery roller stand with the battery (98) in front of the battery

compartment in such a way that the battery (98) can be safely pushed into the
truck's battery compartment.

Z

The battery retainers (100,101) can swap positions. This means that they can
both be fitted in either the left or right side of the truck’s chassis.

Insert the battery retainer (101) opposite the entry side in the chassis (see arrow
direction "D").

• Undo the battery lock on the battery roller stand.
• Push the battery (98) off the roller stand as far as the stop in the truck's battery

compartment (see arrow direction "E").

• Insert and lock the battery retainer (100):

• Insert the battery retainer (100) in the chassis (see arrow direction "C").
• Turn the handle (99) approx. 180° clockwise (see arrow direction "B").
