(1) VALVE SPRING COMPRESSOR
(2) ATTACHMENT

Cylinder Head Disassembly

Remove the cylinder head (page 4-30).

Remove the valve spring cotter using the following
tools.

Tools:
Valve spring compressor

07757-0010000

Compressor attachment

07956-KM30101

To prevent loss of tension, do not compress the
valve springs more than necessary.

(1) RETAINER (2) OUTER VALVE SPRING
(3) INNER VALVE SPRING (4) SPRING SEAT
(5) INTAKE VALVE (6) STEM SEAL

Remove the following:
– spring seat retainer
– outer and inner valve spring
– valve spring seat
– intake valve
– stem seal

Remove the following:
– spring retainer
– valve spring
