Director 2/140 Service Manual

Hardware

When the parameters are set, click OK. The HyperTerminal window
displays.

d. At the C> prompt, type the maintenance-level password (the default is

level-2) and press Enter. The password is case sensitive. The
HyperTerminal window displays with a C> prompt at the top of the
window.

Type the command

Choose Exit from the File menu to close the HyperTerminal application.

20. Initial machine load (IML) the director. At the front of the director, press and

hold the white IML button on the faceplate of the active CTP card (green LED
illuminated) for three seconds.

21. At the Hardware View, observe all FRU graphics and ensure no alert

symbols display that indicate a failure (yellow triangle or red diamond). If a
problem is indicated, go to “

MAP 0000: Start MAP

” on page 45 to isolate the

problem.

22. Perform the data collection procedure (“

Collecting Maintenance Data

” on

page 192).

23. Perform one of the following to clear the system error (ERR) LED:

— If at the HAFM application, open the Hardware View and:

Right-click the front panel bezel graphic (away from a FRU) to open
a menu.

Click Clear System Error Light.
