Removal and Replacement Procedures 

Extending the Server from the Rack 

To extend the server from the rack: 

1.  Loosen the front panel thumbscrews that secure the server to the front of the rack 

(1)

. 

2.  Extend the server until the server rail release latches engage

.

Remove all hot-plug power supplies to reduce the weight of the server before 
lifting it. 

•
