Precision Platform 4022 Series Scanner Components

End supports and operator controls

the scan control panel will not include the X-ray button label and key
switch.

There is an optional alternate location for the scan control panel at the cable
end of the scanner.

Table 5-2 Scan control panel buttons and switches

Button/Switch Description

SCAN

When in computer mode, SCAN starts scanning.
When in manual mode, SCAN starts scanning toward the
motor end support.

OFFSHEET

When in computer mode, OFFSHEET closes all sensor
shutters, disables sensors, and sends the heads offsheet at
a faster rate (by signaling the motor controller) and takes
the heads off line. Scanning can only be resumed by
pressing SCAN locally at the scanner.
When in manual mode, OFFSHEET starts scanning toward
the cable end support

CALIPER ENABLE

Sends a signal to the PMP to indicate that the Caliper
sensor can be enabled. Also enables the Caliper sensor
contact output
