An “Error” annunciator in the Digital Display will be displayed for the following
events:
• Error 1 - Cylinder Lock
• Error 2 - Mecha Lock-1
• Error 3 - Mecha Lock-2
• Error 4 - Reel Lock-1

121 091297 133445 CYRD21
• The leftmost column displays the number of times the failure occurred. A “1”
means once, a “0” means twice. A line will record only one or two failures. In the
example above, the failure occurred once. The system will not go into the error
mode unless it gets the same error twice.
• Moving to the right, the next two columns display the number of event (from 0 to
99). The display will list the first warning and the last eight warnings. In the example
above, “21” is the 21st event.

occurred. In the example above, the date is September 12, 1997 (09/12/97).
• Moving to the right, the next six columns display the time in a 24-hour format
(hours-minutes-seconds). In the example above, the time is 1:34:45PM.

“Warning Data Codes” table on the next page for an explanation of the codes. In the
example above, these column display “CY“. As listed in the Warning Data chart
below, “CY” stands for Cylinder Lock.
• Moving to the right, the next two columns display the Status Code. See the “Status
Codes” table on the next page for an explanation of the codes. In the example above,
these columns display “RD“. As listed in the Status chart below, “RD” stands for
REC (Record). In other words, the warning occurred while in RECORD mode.
• Moving to the right, the next column displays the Tape Speed Code. See the “Tape
Speed Codes” table on the next page for an explanation of the codes. In the example
above, this column displays “2“. As listed in the Tape Speed chart below, “2” stands
for A24 or A30.
• The rightmost column displays the Tape Position Code. See the “Tape Position

this column displays “1“. As listed in the Tape Speed chart, “1” stands for 1/7. This
