To start alarm recording from STOP mode, set “Alarm Ready” to “Yes“.
Alarm Out:
allows the VCR to send an Alarm Output signal. “Duration” is a signal that
is output for the duration of the alarm. Pulse” is a signal that is output in one second
pulses after an alarm is terminated. This signals allows you to connect a flashing light
or beeper to alert you of the alarm.
Recycle Options
allow you to choose from the following options:
• Re-Rec Even if Alarm:
Rewinds tape and enters RECORD mode at beginning-of-
tape even if there has been an alarm.
• Rewind, Stop:
Rewinds tape and then enters STOP mode.
• Recycle, Stop If Alarm:
Rewinds tape and enters STOP mode if there is an alarm;
otherwise, enters RECORD mode at beginning-of-tape.
• Stop at EOT:
Stops at end-of-tape; does not rewind, etc.

Be aware that both the Alarm
Record Setup submenu and
the Day (Night) Alarm Func-
tion submenu must be set
carefully so that the desired
recording is captured.
This menu allows you to set the priority of inputs to be recorded, when alarm signals
are received by several inputs simultaneously or in a brief period of time.
RS-232 inputs may also be prioritized.

Note: If two alarms are
received at once (and if the
“Switching Mode” parameter
of the Alarm Sequencing
submenu is set to
“Programmed”), the highest
priority alarm is serviced first
and the lower priority is ignored.
If a lower priority alarm is
received and then a higher
priority alarm is subsequently
received, the lower priority
alarm will be interrupted until
the higher priority alarm has
been serviced and then the
unit will finish servicing the
lower priority alarm.
