Working with the Clips Library
Overview
The LiveTouch clips library screen enables you to create and organize your clips and to
apply default settings.
From the LiveTouch clips library screen, you can:
• Create and save clips to any location in the clips library.
• Copy, cut and paste clips from one location in the clips library to another.
• Apply play-out speed effects to a single clip, or group of clips.
• Choose from up to three pre-configured, default speed effects, or build a dynamic
speed profile to apply to a clip or group of clips.
• Apply audio patching to clips.
• Select a clip as an Auxiliary Audio clip.
• Preview and, if desired, switch to different camera angles in multi-cam groups.
• Send clips to a playlist.
Saving Clips to the Library
A number is assigned to each saved clip, either automatically, using the next available slot
(as indicated at the top of the screen, immediately to the left of the library navigation
controls), or manually, at the point of saving, by entering the number of a target slot before
pressing:

The clips library contains a total of:
• Nine Pages ( 1 to 9 )
• Each Page having ten Banks (columns) ( 0 to 9 )
• Each Bank having ten Slots ( 0 to 9 ).
• Allowing up to 900 Clips to be saved so that each clip has a unique numeric identifier
(from 100 to 999 ).
The clip number comprises three digits, from 100 through to 999 , with each digit referring
to a specific location in the library.
The clip numbering syntax is [ Page ][ Bank ][ Slot ]. For example:
• Clip 111 - the clip is stored on Page 1 , in Bank 1 , Slot 1
• Clip 635 - the clip is stored on Page 6 , in Bank 3 , Slot 5
• Clip 707 - the clip is stored on Page 7 , in Bank 0 , Slot 7
Figure 3-8 on page 79 shows a schematic overview of the various locations in the clips
library.
Note: It can be useful, for ease of access, to save related clips on the same
page or in the same bank.
