Using the LiveTouch Play-out Modes
LiveTouch provides the following two switchable playout modes:
• Program/Program mode ( PGM/PGM )
• Program/Preview mode ( PGM/PRV )
These play-out modes are described in the following sections.
You can switch between play-out modes using either:
• The play control softkeys: and on the Desktop or,
• The Panel keys: + .
When in either play-out mode, you can cycle the active window using the panel keys as
follows:
In PGM/PGM mode:
• Press the key.
In PGM/PRV mode:
• When the PGM window is active, pressing the green:
key switches to the PRV
window.
• When the PRV window is active, pressing the red:
key switches to the PGM
window.
When using the LiveTouch Desktop or Panel touchscreen, you can also distinguish between
the active and inactive Port windows by the color of the border, which is defined when
configuring the channel ports.
You can also switch the active port window by clicking the mouse cursor in the target port
window or by pressing the
Tab key.
Working in PGM/PGM Mode
In this mode, you have two play-out port windows that you can operate independently of
each other.
Example Scenario:
1 Select the active PGM port window so that the window border is highlighted in the
port color.
2 Select a clip in a playlist or the clips library.
The selected clip is displayed in the Next window of both Port windows
3 Do either of the following:
a Press .
The clip moves to the active PGM Play-out window with status cued : .
