3.1 Control Panel

Ventless Hood (VH) Models Only

Item

Description

Function

Power Switch

Turns Fryer power ON/OFF. Press top portion to place in

[ON]

position

for operation.

Selector Switch

3-Position switch selects operation mode ...

[COOK-OFF-FILTER PUMP]

Heating elements will only operate when switch is in

[COOK]

position.

Switch is placed in the

[FILTER PUMP]

position to run the Filter Pump.

Center position is

[OFF]

Controller

The Computer Controller controls Fryer functions, oil temperature, cook

time, etc. Stores 50 programmable Menu Item cook setting presets.

Displays status, operational messages and alerts User to alarm

conditions.

High-Limit Indicator

The Red High-Limit Light illuminates when the overheat safety relay

turns

OFF

power to Fryer heating elements. Should this light come on,

discontinue operation and refer to the

Troubleshooting Section

NEVER

COOK IN A FRYER THAT CONTINUES TO GIVE A HI-LIMIT ALARM!

Heat Indicator Light

The Amber Heat Light illuminates when the heating elements are

energized. When set-point temperature is reached, the light turns

OFF

The light will cycle

and

OFF

during normal operation.

Power Indicator Light

The Green Power Light is

whenever the Power Switch is in the

[ON]

position.

LED Indicator

The

[ON]

LED indicator illuminates when the Electronic Air Cleaner (EAC)

power supply is

. This is the only LED illuminated during normal

operation.

WASH/CHECK

LED

Indicators

These LED lights illuminate when there is a problem with the EAC system

and indicates it has stopped cleaning the air. The collection cell is too

dirty or is damaged, the power supply has failed, or there is an electrical

problem.

DO NOT

use these lights as a signal for routine cleaning.

Clean EAC Cell daily for best performance

Fire Extinguisher Manual

Pull Handle

In case of cooking oil fire, pulling this handle will manually activate the

fire suppression system. Extinguishing system will also activate

automatically.

Illuminates when Timer enters

Warning Mode

, indicating that the EAC

Cell must be cleaned within the next 24 hours.

maximum time between EAC Cell cleanings has expired. Cell must be

cleaned immediately. The Fryer will be disabled until cleaning is

performed.

Pressing button, after

Timeout Mode

is activated, returns Timer to

Warning Mode

and allows operation of the Fryer for an additional two

(2) hours. Two (2) snooze periods may be used. After the second

period, the Fryer will be disabled until EAC Cell cleaning is performed.
