2.3.9

Step Power Sweep Configuration

Use this feature to set up a step power sweep. Figure 2-15 illustrates the Step Power Sweep menu. A
Step Power Sweep will start and stop at the power values designated in the configuration. The dwell
time and the output frequency at each step also need to be defined. The Repeat mode defines when the
sweep starts and the appropriate trigger needs to be defined.

Use the up and down cursor keys to move from field to field in the menu. Use the step keys or the knob
to toggle between options in each field. For numeric values the numeric keypad can be used also as
described in Section 2.3.1.1.

Move the cursor to highlight the specific parameter to be configured, then look at the options for
that parameter by pressing the up or down Step key. Additional options can be selected with the
softkeys to

Set up a dual Frequency-Power sweep

b.

Set up the Step Power Sweep parameters

Press

[Dual Sweep]

to configure a dual Frequency-Power sweep.

3.

Press

[Step Perams]

to see the options for selecting the Step/Dwell or Step/Sweep time or the

Points/Dwell or Point/Sweep time.

4.

Press

[Trigger Sweep]

to start a Power sweep after the sweep has been configured.
