Front Panel Operation

Waveform

This parameter determines how many pulses are produced for each trigger (internal or external). The

maximum number of pulses per group is four. Each pulse in the group will have the same width. The ‘Start

Delay’ parameter will always be the time from the trigger to the first pulse in the group. See ‘Gap’, below for a

description of the inter-pulse spacing. If the ‘Preference’ field is set to ‘Start Delay’ then the effective pulse

rate will be determined by adding up the start delay, the width of each pulse in the group, and the gap between

any pulses following the first.

NOTE:

The default waveform is “off” so a waveform needs to be selected to turn PM

on.

Gap

If a multiple pulse waveform is selected, the spacing between pulses may be selected with this parameter.

The delay from the trigger to the first pulse is set by the ‘Start Delay’ parameter. The spacing from pulse one

to pulse two and between pulse two and three and between pulse three and pulse four is set by the ‘Gap’

parameter. All inter-pulse spaces are identical. The range of values is 100 ns to 1.67 seconds.
