! Displays ‘Remote Operation’
Description:
This command specifies what will be displayed on the instrument screen during GPIB
operation. The (currently) valid values of
n
are: 0 Leaves the screen blank. 1 Displays
Remote Operation
on the screen. 2 Displays normal menus during GPIB operation.
Reports any errors on the message line. 3 Displays normal menus and writes on the
message line (bottom line of the screen) each GPIB command as it’s received (marked
Recd:
) and after it’s executed (marked
Done:
). Reports any errors on the message line.
6 Scrolls up the screen the most recent 12 GPIB commands received (marked
Recd:
) and
executed (marked
Done:
). Leaves the bottom line free to report errors. 7 - Displays error
messages only. These will scroll down to fill the screens, then scroll up. This mode is
used to avoid slowing down the system when only errors needed to be identified. The LED
below the PULSE key toggles when a GPIB command is sent to the unit.

Clears all lists, level-correction tables and setups from non-volatile memory; writes zeros
to the cleared memory locations. Reinitializes the heap-space manager.

Sets all instrument settings to factory values; sets the instrument to CW mode at the
instrument’s minimum frequency. Clears all lists, level-correction tables and setups from
non-volatile memory and reinitializes the heap-space manager.
NSR

Description:
The normal operation of the remote mode displays the words
Remote Operation
on the
screen. Sending NSR will cause the screen to show the same information displayed when
in local mode. For example if the CW command were to be sent, the ‘Fixed Frequency’
menu will be displayed. The NSR command is a ‘toggle’. Each time it is sent the screen
display toggles from
Remote Operation
to standard menu.
