Scan AM (Logarithmic AM)

Press

[AM]

to select the modulation parameter. Refer to the modulation parameters and specifications

in Chapter 1 for detailed information.

Using Internal Scan

With AM Mode: highlighted (reference above screen), use the UP or DOWN Step Key to select Scan. After

setting Waveform, Frequency and Depth (See below), turn Scan ON by pressing the softkey next to Turn AM

On (softkey now changes to Turn AM Off).

To turn Scan OFF; Press

Turn AM Off

softkey.

Waveform

With Waveform: highlighted, use the Step Keys to select the appropriate waveform for use. See 2.3.14 for

Waveform selections.

NOTE:

The Default waveform is “off” so a waveform needs to be selected to turn Scan

AM on.

Frequency

With Frequency: highlighted, use the Step Keys, Knob or Key Pad entry to select the appropriate frequency

from 0.01 Hz to 1 MHz.

Depth

This modulation depth is expressed in dB for Scan (logarithmic) AM.

Select the appropriate Depth of Modulation for Scan by using the Step Keys, Knob or Key Pad entry from

0.00 dB to 65.00 dB.
