2.3.5

List Set Up

The List Mode is an alternate sweep method that takes full advantage of automatic switching at the
highest sweep speed. To configure up to 99 lists with a variety of points in each, and then allow the
instrument to automatically scan through the points. The number of points is limited by the memory of
the instrument.

The points that are set up are the points at which the sweep will stop. Dwell or stop times determine
how long the respective sweep will stay at that point. Each point is independent of other points. List
sweeps can be set up locally at the front panel or downloaded over the GPIB and run remotely.

Each list point is defined by the following:

Power

•

Dwell Time

LIST MODE Menu Navigation

The screen is divided into 2 windows (See Figure 2-10).

The Switch Cursor softkey will move the

cursor back and forth between the windows.

In the top menu use the up and down cursor keys to switch from List Table, Repeat Mode, and Trigger
Type. When the field is highlighted use the step keys to toggle between the appropriate settings. In the
LIST TABLE field a number can be entered and completed pressing any Units key.

The bottom menu displays the list points. To move from one list point to another use the up and down
cursor keys. To move inside a list point use the left and right cursor key. To move from the Power field to
the Dwell time field use the right cursor key. To move from the Dwell time field to the Power field use
the right cursor key.
