Erasing lines:

Place the +cursor on the line point to erase and press the [CLR] key. The line is

then redrawn excluding the point erased.

Connecting own ship position with a line:

Turn off the +cursor with the

key and follow the

procedure for inscribing a line. For further details about lines, see Chapter 4.

1.1.14 Entering a comment

You can inscribe a comment next to marks, lines, waypoints and routes on the display. A

comment may contain 12 alphanumeric characters for a mark or line and 10 for a waypoint and

route.

1. Press the [CNMT] key. The following display appears.

2. Operate the trackball to set the +cursor on the line or mark to which you want to attach a

comment.

3. Press the [ENT] key. The screen should look something like the left-hand figure below,

showing upper case alphabets, numerics and symbols. Lower case letters are also available.

Use the

key to switch between upper case and lower case alphabets.

4. Operate the trackball to select alphanumeric character desired with the highlight. Selected

character appears in reverse video. Numerics can be entered through the keyboard or

selected with the highlight.

5. Press the [ENT] key. The character selected appears in the Comment field at the bottom of

the display.
