1.1.7 Selecting presentation mode
Three presentation modes are available: head-up, north-up, and course-up.
Head-up (Radar display only):
Heading is at the top of the screen.
North-up:
North (0
°)
is at the top of the screen. This mode is useful as a general navigation
monitor.
Auto course-up (radar display, radar/plotter combination display)
: For the plotter display,
current course is at the top of screen the moment this mode is selected. When the course is
deviated by more than
±

, the course at that moment will be at the top of the screen. For the
radar/plotter combination display, heading is at the top of screen the moment this mode is
selected. When the heading is deviated by more than
±

in the bow direction, the heading at
that moment will be at the top of the screen.
Course-up:
When destination is set, the destination waypoint is at the top of the display. North is
shown at the top of the screen with the north marker
. When no destination is set the course at
the moment the course-up mode is selected is set at the top of the display.
To select display orientation, press the [HDG MODE] key. Current selection is shown at the right
side of the display.
1.1.8 Selecting display mode
Two display modes are available: True Motion (TM) and Relative Motion (RM).
True Motion:
Own ship mark moves according to own ship's movement. Land is stationary.
Relative Motion:
Own ship mark is at the display center. Land objects move.
To select display mode, press the [TM/RM] key. Selected display mode is shown at the right side
of the screen.
Note that the auto course-up and head-up modes are only available in relative motion.
